Petrogenesis and Geodynamic Implications of the North Kudi Granitoids in the West Kunlun Orogen, NW China

The petrogenesis of aluminous A-type granites is a contentious subject. Here, we focused on the North Kudi pluton in Western Kunlun orogen to investigate origin and magmatic processes responsible for generating granites. Samples from are metaluminous weakly peraluminous. K-feldspar granite samples characterized by high alkali Cl contents, HFSE concentrations FeO/MgO, low F content, negative Ba, Sr, P, Eu, Ti anomalies, magma temperature (>903 °C), showing affinity However, their 10,000 × Ga/Al ratios (1.86–3.18) relatively lower than typical Quartz-monzonite displays similar Sr–Nd isotopic compositions with but less pronounced anomalies no discernable Ba Eu anomalies. Fractional crystallization alkali-rich, Cl-rich, F-poor magmas can generate some geochemical characteristics (e.g., anomalies) has little influence ratios. enriched compositions, arc-like features, involvement slab-derived components, as indicated zircon Ce4+/Ce3+ (up 503), suggest that was possibly derived partial melting metasomatized lithospheric mantle time asthenosphere upwelling during post-collisional stage. emplacement thus indicates onset post-orogenic stage orogen.
